This is a great recipe for those mangos and pineapples that are not so sweet just yet. Great with some tortilla chips as a snack, this salsa also goes well with grilled fish, chicken, or as a tropical touch to your chili.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh mango, diced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1 teaspoon salt

 How To:

Dice and chop all the ingredients and place in a bowl.

You can remove the seeds of the jalapeño for a less spicy salsa, or keep them in if that’s how you roll.

If you are taking the salsa to a party or serving it in a few hours, do not add the lime juice and salt just yet.

Once you are ready to serve, add the lime juice and salt, mix well,  taste and adjust salt according to your preference.
