My friend Lynn made me lavender lemonade and it was lovely #alliteration, a delicious alliteration. This is the basic recipe, it can be doubled or tripled as needed.

  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Juice of 2 lemons

Put the dried lavender flowers in filter tea bags and place the bags in 4 cups of recently boiled water. If you cannot find filter tea bags simply steep the lavender directly in the water and pour the liquid through a strainer.

Leave the lavender in the water for 3 minutes then remove, or strain.

Pour the honey in the water while it is still hot so it can dissolve. If you like it very sweet, just add more, I won’t judge you, this is a safe space.

Squeeze the lemons into the lavender tea. Place in the fridge to cool.

To serve, fill a glass with ice, pour the lavender lemonade, garnish with dried lavender flowers and lemon rind or slices.
