Labneh is plain yogurt that has been strained. So if you can’t get your hands on labneh, simply make your own (recipe HERE). Usually used in savory sandwiches or dishes, this is an original way to use labneh.
The What:
- 3/4 cup (180g) full-fat labneh
- 3 tablespoons honey (extra for serving)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
- 3 cup strawberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
The How:
Place the labneh, honey, and vanilla paste in a bowl. Mix well, cover and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Wash the strawberries and blackberries and dry well. Cut the strawberries into quarters and toss with the whole blackberries.
Place a small amount of berries in a bowl and sprinkle with about a tablespoon of pistachios.
Top with a generous spoon of honeyed labneh, another sprinkling of pistachios and a drizzling of honey. I added a piece of honeycomb; it gave the desert a nice chew.
